ROUTES 4, 10 & 11 RIDER ALERT – 10/24/2012

The City of San Bernardino is finishing improvements to the 4th  Street Transfer Center at the Route 14 stop today. They are now beginning improvements on 4th Street westbound.

We will relocate both Routes 4 & 14 to our old bus stop area adjacent to the Carousel Mall parking structure heading east on 4th Street between F & E Streets. We anticipate Route 14 returning to its normal parking location on F Street within a few days, but the Route 4 will remain at the temporary location for a few weeks while the concrete bus parking pad is completed.

We are also adjusting the stop location for Routes 10 & 11 for a few days due to traffic control cone zone while the work is being completed at the Route 14 stop. The Route 10 will just be backed up about north about 100 feet and the Route 11 will move further north on F to the same area that we have been using as
the temporary stop for Route 14. This will also be for only a few days while the original Route 14 stop is completed.

Information has been posted  at the Route 4 stop and bus stop signs have been adjusted.

Rider Alert: Detour for Route 8

Route 8 will have to detour due to construction on the westbound trip. Detour is in effect until approximately 3:00 p.m.

From Lugonia:

  • Right on Dearborn
  • Left on San Bernardino
  • Left on Church
  • Right on Lugonia

Alternate bus stops planned due to construction

Several new areas of the SbX corridor will be starting construction on Monday, June 18th.

Alternate stops planned for Cal State San Bernardino
Construction will be starting at Cal State San Bernardino which will cause the temporary closure of our bus stop. On Monday, we will adjust our stop to an area in front of the Coyote Book Store.  The stop will only be at this location for one week, and we will relocate to an area on Coyote Way near the Student Fitness Center and Jack Brown Building.  We will be at this location until the end of September or sooner if access is permitted back at the original stop area.

Alternate stops planned along E Street
Construction activities will also be starting on E Street between Orange Show Road and Hospitality Lane.  Bus stops in both directions at E Street & Orange Show Road and E Street & Century will be out of service.  We will have stops in both directions at E Street & Chandler.  Our bus stops further south at E Street & McKay will remain in service.

We will also provide an adjusted stop at E Street & Orange Show Road to serve the northbound E Street & Orange Show Road closed stop.  E Street & Orange Show Road, southbound, will need to use either the preceding stop at E Street & South Mall or our temporary stop at E Street & Chandler.
