This week, crews will continue working during the day and late at night on the west side of E Street in select areas between 10th Street and Hospitality Lane. Crews will also continue working late at night on the north side of Hospitality Lane in select areas between E Street and Tippecanoe Avenue.
Activities include tree removal/relocation, saw cutting, potholing, temporary relocation of traffic signals and street lighting, water meter relocation activities, and paving.
In order to establish a safe work environment for crews and the public, traffic control measures are implemented that allow for at least one lane in each direction to be open.
Maintaining access to businesses is of high importance and signage is placed throughout the area informing the public that they are open during construction.
In an effort to minimize impacts to businesses during the day, water meter relocation activities will take place at night from Monday, March 5th to Thursday, March 8th between 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. This will happen at select locations on E Street between 10th Street and Hospitality Lane, and on Hospitality Lane between E Street and Tippecanoe Avenue.
Planned water service interruption will be minimal and only take place when the meters are ready to be connected to the main water line. Currently, this activity is not scheduled. However, upon scheduling, businesses will be notified at least 24 hours ahead of an up to two-hour period to connect the line.
We appreciate your patience during construction. For more information, please call the project helpline at (855) sbX-NEWS / 729-6397.
